I was in my internship when I was mobilized and sent to Iraq. I'll be coming home soon after 18 mos of active duty. I'm going to need a refresher course!! Any suggestions or recommendations for Jan 06?

Hi Armoredshoe;

First of all, thanks for going to the desert and fighting for all of us. I mean it

Regarding your question about a refresher course....if it were me, I would go to either the APA or AAPP annual seminars, or even some of the larger state or regional seminars and carefully pick which classes you want to attend. Stick with basic stuff at the seminars and leave the new, exotic stuff alone.

Good luck and if you need any help, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you. The fighting has been especially tough here near the Syrian Border lately. I'm really interested in a 2 week refresher course. Do you know any schools that offer one?

Check with your school. Alot of schools do update and refresher training. I don't know of anyone doing two weeks but several do one week refreshers.

Also, check with DODpi, if they have room they may let you attend. They have several classes every year.

Barring all that seminars are probably your best bet.

My only other suggestion would be to check with local schools and see where they are in the program. Maybe you could sit in for scoring, question formulation or whatever you feel you need. They may not even charge you but even if they do it might be worth it.

Hope that helps.

Jack

Backster has a 5 day work conference/refresher course once a year. Not being a Backster graduate, I can't attest as to if it is any good.

I can!

The Backster work conference is held each December in San Diego. It is a great course even if you are not a Backster Grad. I think the one week fee is about 500 bucks but you can verify this on Cleve's web-site. I have been to two and enjoyed them both!
